Charge overnight on time-of-use rates

Many electric utilities offer time-of-use rates, where electricity costs different amounts depending on the time of day. Power is usually cheapest overnight when demand is low, and most expensive in the early evening. If you charge during those cheap overnight hours, you pay less for the exact same energy.

Most EVs and home chargers let you schedule charging to start automatically during off-peak hours. You plug in when you get home, but the charging waits until the cheaper window opens. Set a daily charge limit
