New Construction Wiring

Quick answer

Complete electrical for new builds, service, panel, rough-in, devices, and trim, engineered EV-ready and electrification-ready from day one. We work to your plans and schedule with builders and GCs.

New construction is the one chance to get the electrical system perfect for the next fifty years. We wire new homes from temporary power to final trim, with 200-amp services, EV-ready circuits, battery/solar provisions, and structured wiring designed in rather than retrofitted later.

About New Construction Wiring

Wiring a new home is a sequencing craft: temporary power, underground or overhead service, rough-in coordinated between framing and insulation, then devices and trim as finishes land. We work new builds from foundation to final inspection, on the builder's schedule.

The real value is designing for the electrified decades ahead: a 200-amp service with physical space to grow, an EV circuit (or two) in the garage, conduit sleeves to the roof and panel for future solar and battery, exterior-rated circuits where outdoor living will expand, and low-voltage runs while the walls are open and cheap.

The electrification-ready checklist we build in

  • 200A service, 40-plus space panel
  • EV-ready: 60A garage circuit roughed to the parking side
  • Solar/battery conduit paths, roof to panel, panel to wall
  • Kitchen sized for induction; laundry wired for heat-pump dryer
  • Cat6 to offices, TVs, and access points

The five cheapest wires you'll ever regret not running

Every new build has a five-year list of 'wish we'd wired for it', and at framing stage, each item costs almost nothing. Our short list from experience: a second EV circuit (two-car garages become two-EV garages), conduit from panel to attic and roof (future solar), speaker and Cat6 pre-wire in the great room ceiling, exterior soffit outlets on a switch (holiday lighting), and a feeder-sized conduit stub toward wherever a shop, ADU, or pool might someday live.

The pattern is the same: copper and conduit are cheap in open framing and painful behind finished drywall. An hour with your plans before rough-in locks in decades of flexibility.

Frequently asked questions

At minimum: 200A service, an EV-ready garage circuit, conduit paths for future solar/battery, ample kitchen and outdoor circuits, and Cat6 to key rooms. Adding these at build time costs a fraction of retrofit prices.

Yes, we work from your plans, meet the GC's schedule for rough-in and trim phases, and handle all inspections.

At plan stage, before the slab. Underground service, panel placement, and conduit routing decided early cost almost nothing; the same decisions after drywall cost thousands.
